after 14 hours of driving within a 36 hour period, with only 6 total hours of sleep, i begged eddie to post up the following pics of our trip down to sunny socal (really, it was 75 degrees!). the occasion? the birth of my first nephew and newest addition to both the simeon and labbao families.
fortunately (and unfortunately), norm had a very quick labor and delivery, which was good for her though none of our family was able to make it in time to see the birth. but no matter... we were able to experience with evan his first few hours out of the womb. all the driving and sleeplessness was well worth it...
if i had to describe his absolutely adorable appearance, i'd have to say, "herro!!! i'm hiro nakamura!" (okay, so that's not a description but a line from a very popular primetime fox show.) swear, he looks like a mini-me version of the japanese heroes character. it's amazing how much wavy hair this little guy has with very little body hair. he's the hairiest unhairy person i've ever met! he even has side burns and a mullet! and he's got the cutest little chin and big, fat squishy cheeks. can't wait to see this little fella again! i guess pictures will have to do for now. (makes me wish i still had a camera phone.)
